At Carmen Schools, a culture of strong coaching and intentional systems are helping bring personalized math intervention to life for students and teachers alike.
In a recent reflection, Senior Director of Teaching and Learning, Kyra VandeBunte, shared how Carmen refined its approach to Teach to One Roadmaps in ninth-grade Algebra Lab classrooms this year. Through clearer instructional structures, targeted coaching, and stronger use of student data, teachers were able to build more purposeful intervention experiences for students.
With a stronger focus on manageable next steps, consistent routines, and aligned support, campuses witnessed growth in student engagement, note-taking, independent learning habits, and skill mastery.
