Carmen Schools of Science & Technology proudly offers free K4 through 12th grade education to families in Greater Milwaukee.  Our schools are located in both Milwaukee’s north and south sides, within unique and vibrant neighborhoods like Lincoln Village, Layton Park, and Silver Spring.

The college preparatory network, comprising six schools across five campuses, envisions students achieving proficiency in scientific inquiry, creative discovery, and constructive problem solving. Students will have professional-level skills in technology and will gain admission to colleges and apprenticeship programs that enable them to become civic leaders, authors, artists, scientists, teachers, or doctors. All students will achieve the education and professional development needed for career, family and community-sustaining success. Our student to teacher ratio is 1:14.

Carmen Across the City

Celebrate our student artists and creatives in a special project, Carmen Across the City.  Carmen Schools of Science & Technology serves youth from Milwaukee’s North and South sides but together we are One Carmen, committed to ensuring our students thrive in all areas of education.

“Across our City” connects students and educators from each campus that share a love of art, music, design, and other creative mediums. Explore student musical and theatrical performances, view artwork and photography.  Our students are evolving creatively in addition to excelling in core curriculum and ‘Across the City” is an annual celebration of their work.  Exploring student work in their online portfolio is about exploring the possibilities of Carmen-wide Electives at each campus.

Experience “Across the City”

Athletics

At Carmen Schools, we want students to have a balanced experience of academics, social engagement, and wellness.  Carmen Athletics provides a space for students to bond with their peers, engage in healthy competition, and earn additional accolades like first or second team honors.

Sports are offered at all Carmen schools, including Stellar Elementary, where our youngest students can learn the basics of soccer, flag football, and other sports throughout the year.  Additional information regarding athletics at your campus can be found in your Back to School packets that have been mailed to your homes.

Registration is now open for Fall sports!  Here are your next steps:

  1. Register at the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athlete Registration Portal. Documents are required including a Physical Examination Form, Proof of Insurance, Waiver, and more.
  2. Connect with your school’s main office to learn about seasonal offerings.
  3. Check out our calendar for Fall start dates
