As of the 2025–2026 school year, Stellar Elementary has officially transitioned to join the Rocketship Public Schools network—a nationally recognized charter school organization known for its success in serving elementary and middle school students.
Carmen Schools is excited for this next chapter and confident that Rocketship’s deep expertise and family partnerships will help Stellar students continue to shine. While Stellar is no longer part of the Carmen network, we will continue to foster a strong partnership, continuing our shared commitment to student success in Milwaukee.

Over the past 12 years as an educator I’ve taught elementary, middle, and high school, but when I started teaching first-grade reading at Stellar I unexpectedly fell in love. They have surprised me with their excitement to learn and joy for life!
