College and Career
Carmen’s mission is preparing students for success in college.
Through our College Transition and Post-Transition Programs, we are able to support our high school students AND alumni to and through college. Our College Team provides programming including college campus visits, college readiness lessons, Junior and Senior seminar, college fairs, college representative visits, parent workshops and newsletters, financial aid meetings and advising, as well as individual student meetings.
The College Team programming culminates in our Senior Signing Day, for which all Carmen students, staff, and members of our school community come together to celebrate the plans and accomplishments of the graduating class.
Student Internship Program = Big Impact!
Partner with Carmen Schools to Shape Future Talent
Carmen Schools of Science & Technology’s Student Internship Program (SIP) connects motivated high school students with community-minded businesses to gain hands-on career experience and build essential professional networks.
🔹 Host a Student Intern: Provide real-world experience to a Carmen high school student. Carmen students have held successful internships at some of Milwaukee’s top non-profits and organizations like Baird, Revitalize Milwaukee, Urban Ecology Center, Alverno College, Stellar Elementary, Amplify Graphics & Branding, 16th Street Clinic, Discovery World, Godfrey and Kahn, HNTB, and Northwestern Mutual.
🔹 Engage in Career Exploration: Support students through site visits, job shadowing, or mock interviews to expand their career knowledge. Check out a site visit with our career partners at Godfrey & Kahn!
🔹 Invest in the Future: Corporate sponsors help students earn scholarship dollars for college while developing a diverse talent pipeline.

And the support doesn’t stop at graduation. Every Carmen senior continues to have a dedicated advisor by their side for years beyond high school. Our college team stays connected, visiting alumni on their campuses and guiding them through every step toward earning their degree.
