FAFSA Renewals 2020-2021 School Year

Is your college demanding you complete your FAFSA for the 2020-2021 school year yesterday? Do not fear, you are not too late to file, but keep in mind that the longer you wait to file your FAFSA, the more likely some schools are to run out of smaller grants or scholarships.

If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the Alumni Services page and make sure you pick one of the “Financial Meeting” options and then select a date and time of your choosing.Pssst…. Mr. Carter is offering up Saturday, December 28th to help file FAFSAs so pick the “Financial Meeting Weekend” option if you’d like to take advantage of this opportunity.

IRS Return Transcripts, DFV Worksheets, Letters of Non-filing?
If you have already completed your FAFSA thank you! Some of your schools should already begin creating financial aid packages for you, but some will need a little more paperwork before they can give you that award. Many of your peers have been in this situation before and it does not mean you cannot get financial aid. The process is called verification and it simply means your school will need to verify some financial information before they can give you an award letter. here is what you will need:

Re-enrollment or Transfer Planning

As we near the end of December, now is a great time to set up a time to meet with your Post-Transition Coordinator (PTC) if you are contemplating going back to school or making a switch from one school to another.

  • Enrollment and Re-enrollment are very doable processes and we are here to assist
  • Transferring to another school is not a decision to take lightly so we encourage you to meet with your PTC, academic advisor, or both before you make this transition
    • If you have already started the process and need help or a HS transcript go to the Alumni Services page for the tools you need.

End of Term Surveys

All currently enrolled alumni are asked to complete the End of Term Survey posted in GradSnapp. This includes all December 2019 grads (congrats!!)If you cannot login to GradSnapp, please complete the Contact Update form and we will send you a reset link.

Alumni Network and Mixer

Missing Credits (Dual Enrollment, AP)

If your college is telling you that your are missing credits from your high school here is what you need to verify first. 1) Did you take a dual enrollment course while in HS? (English, Pre Calc, Tech, or CNA for example) or 2) Did you take an AP course and get a score that your college would recognize (3-5 normally).

  • If you took a dual enrollment course Carmen cannot simply send our HS transcript. You will need to request an official transcript from MATC in order to get the credits applied. Follow this link to get started and make sure you email Mr. Carter (South) or Mrs. Kurter (NW) for your MATC ID (If you are already at MATC go to the registrars office to clear this up)
  • If you took an AP course, you will need to email Mr. Carter (South) or Mrs. Kurter (NW) to get your AP number and then with that number you will need to login to the CollegeBoard website and pay to send your scores (colleges will only accept them this way).
