Carmen High School of Science & Technology, South campus (SHS) is a college preparatory school and Carmen’s flagship school, founded in Fall 2007.

SHS, an award-winning school, was ranked in April 2024 as the #40 top high school in the state of Wisconsin and #3 in Milwaukee School District High Schools. Carmen South High Cesar Chavez Award

Each Senior Signing Day, a senior is selected for showcasing the best of Carmen and honored for exemplifying the school’s namesake. Class of 2024 graduate, Teresa Padilla was granted the Carmen South High Cesar Chavez award. Padilla, will be attending Marquette University in the fall with a full-ride as the recipient of the Urban Scholars Scholarship.
