All FAFSA Applications should be filed by (12/31/17)
If you still need to file your FAFSA, you are not late yet, but we are getting close to the end of the season. NOTE: You may be able to file after January 2018, but you are not promised the full amount of financial aid any more because state grants will begin to run out.
Here is what you need to file:
- Parent 2016 taxes AND 2016 W2s
- Your personal 2016 taxes AND 2016 W2
Have you already been verified?
First off, don’t panic. Verification is a very common process to simply make sure your FAFSA was completed correctly. Here is what you’ll need to do to complete all of the paperwork:
- Fill out a 4506T Form for anyone who filed taxes (Parents and You)
- 4506 forms are available upon request email me if you’ll need to pick one up
- Complete all of the forms requested by your school
Most important is that you read everything carefully and do not rush through this paperwork.
